Emailed monthly communicating information about S-STOP. The colors red and white are related to the colors included in a STOP sign. We are to "Be Still" or STOP and know God is in control of our lives as Christians. The most important reason for the red relates to the blood of Jesus, which "cleanses us from all unrighteousness." If it were not for Jesus shedding His blood through his death and resurrection, we would not have forgiveness of sins and the hope of Heaven.
Strengthened Together * S-STOP's History
In our country, Satan is on a mission using division to destroy our homes, churches, and country. Two forces are at constant battle, the force of good uniting us with God's love resulting in purer hearts and the force of evil dividing us with Satan's schemes resulting in destroying our hearts. It is paramount for us to become more active in promoting Unity and Purity in heart or Satan will continue destroying our homes and churches. The U.S. has developed into a busy, all about me, country. S-STOP allows us to "Be Still" and know God is in control of our lives.
This ministry began in the Fall of 2004 with 5 members from different local churches meeting in a home. We have been blessed by God spiritually and numerically, which resulted in our S-STOPs moving into different local church buildings in May 2005. Those church buildings included Autauga Baptist Association Building, St. Joseph Catholic, St. Mark Episcopal, First United Methodist, and Hunter Hills Church of Christ. We seek to be Strengthened Together with the One Purpose of obeying God's Word in UNITY and we felt lead to use the 5 different church buildings to promote this to the commUNITY.
After meeting in the 5 different church buildings for 9 months, we decided in February 2006 to begin meeting every Sunday evening at one central location in order to decrease the confusion associated with meeting at 5 different church buildings. We use God's Word to provide our strength and we share God's Word through the spirit of UNITY. Jesus prayed for us to "Be One" and to "be brought to complete unity" in John 17:20-23. The more UNITED and purer in heart we are as believers, the stronger we stand. We are excited about this ministry and want to offer a personal invitation to all souls to join us as we become Strengthened Together.
Currently, our S-Stops consist of a commUNITY Bible study discussion. The schedule below provides the dates we meet for the current month, the topic of the Bible study, the facilitator(s), and the room number for the study.
